So, I normally don’t post things like this, or ask for money at all. But I just learned that I am going to be an aunt by next March!

For those who know me, I like to work on cross-stitch patterns because the repetition and tedium relaxes me when I feel anxious or have a need to fall asleep; it helps to shut my brain down. With the news of my little sister’s child, I plan on using my skills as a cross-stitcher to make her a very lovely BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT!

While the pattern for this thing isn’t that expensive, Teresa Wentzler [the artist of this wonderful piece] no longer makes kits. That means that while I buy the pattern, I also have to buy all the materials to make it separately. For those who don’t know, cross-stitch kits are expensive but are a good deal as a whole, considering that buying things separately are considerably more expensive than buying them all-together.

As a result, I am in need of a little extra money, since while my current job pays enough to pay the bills and feed my cat, it doesn’t give me much stretch room to buy what I need for my sister’s baby-gift. I am in need of funds enough to buy a stitching frame -since I can no longer hold a standard hoop frame without my hands seizing- as well as the necessary Aida cloth and the multitude of flosses and beads that are supposed to go along with this particular pattern.

The total I need to reach is 160 USD.

While I’m perfectly happy with people who are willing to give what they can, I am also willing to do small Minecraft maps for 10-20 USD. For me, ‘small’ can mean anything from a manor to a small village. If you would like, you can see some examples of small maps [and bigger ones] at my PLANET MINECRAFT account, and even download some of the smaller ones to get a good look at the details [donations centering around these little guys are also welcome, if you want; otherwise, enjoy the free maps!].

I am in no definite hurry right now, and I do plan on buying pieces as I go along [I’ll gladly update the total needed as I go]. I just really want to do something nice for my little sister for her first baby and am asking for a teeny bit of help.

Whether you want to donate or commission, feel free to contact me privately and I will give you the details necessary.

Thank you for your time!

Original cross-stitching is such a rare thing to see nowadays, and your Halloween Kitties had a kitty like mine on it, so I fell in love instantly when it showed up on my 'Recommended for You!' list to the side.
[plus kitties, cmon~~]
I'll likely go and putz through your gallery first, as is the way with me, but beware; I'll likely take your advice, with potential mass-faving.

and thankee; a name that was a joke ended up being my name forever and i am not complaining
and i agree; raptors are badasses
