I might have posted this as an actual document, but that seemed kinda ... eh. So I'm putting these here, in a Journal, instead.
Thought of these on the bus home tonight. One is older, but hadn't been shared on any social media before tonight. Majority is generic dragon stuff, with one for Sonics because those little dragons have very little actual screentime, and one for Word because I couldn’t help it.
- Sonic dragons are the Draconis equivalent to Siamese cats; they’re extremely vocal and include a variety of noises in their ‘vocabulary’, such as chittering, chirping, warbling, purring, snarking, squeaking, and the dragon equivalent of a yowl.
Vocals can change with expressiveness to show what the dragon is feeling.
- When mildly startled or extremely curious or playful, most dragon breeds can and may sit upright on their haunches with front feet off the ground. It is not an expression that happens too often, and is usually used to get a better vantage view of their surroundings.
The only breeds wholly incapable of doing such are the Bull and Earth, given that their body structures and weight distribution make it next to impossible to try.
- Most dragons will chase things that move in the same way that cats do if allowed at the time [some do it anyway]. Fluttering leaves, feathers, dust puffs, laser pointers, lightspots, anything that moves.
Some Nautilus are the same way, though it’s a hit and miss with them.
Bull and Earth dragons have a tendency to fetch more than chase things, though they sometimes try anyway.
- The Crow-drag hatchling from Darkness Falls still hangs around Word. It generally keeps out of sight and screeches every once in a while as though to remind him it still exists. However, it occasionally gets annoyed at Word’s constant ignoring of its presence and shits on everything in retribution.
[as an added bonus: When the Crow-drag throws such fits, War nearly dies suffocating trying not to laugh if she's present to see the result of such]
